Waycross Third Grader on Good Morning America

April 7, 2008 – 1:34 pm by S T

This morning, Good Morning America had a young guest on the show. Third Grade Student Tmanni Adams from the Center Elementary School is Waycross Georgia. That’s the school that’s been getting lots of attention recently.

Tmanni Adams did not participate in the alleged plot. However, she’s been suspended for 30-days for knowing in advance of the plan to harm their teacher and not speaking up about it. The students wanted to take revenge on Ms. Belle Carter, their teacher, because she was unfairly reprimanded and disciplined with timeout for standing on a chair in the class.

Adams and her friends insists she didn’t stand on the chair; rather she stood up besides her chair to fix her pants.
A few highlights:

1) Tmanni’s mother is serving in the armed forces in Kuwait.

2) Tmanni’s grandmother claims the students were planning a harmless prank and wanted to throw pies at the teacher

3) the NCAAP is getting involved!

Watch the clip here.

I don’t believe what the grandmother is saying. At all. Not a word. Here’s a few questions I’d have asked her if I was the GMA host:

  • if the students intention was to only throw pies, why was Tmanni afraid to speak up?
  • if the students wanted to throw pies, how come the school confiscated a steak knife, gloves and handcuffs?
  • how come the students didn’t have any pies with them???
  • in the same interview, Tmanni says she heard the students saying they wanted to “hurt Ms. Carter”! She also said she didn’t hear how! So why is the grandmother fabricating pie-lies?

I spy with my little eye a pie lie! If this was in the movie Waitress, this would be a cover-up pie!
